How to get in touch
If you are interested in becoming a member or a ‘Friend’ of the Choir, want to advertise in our programmes or simply want to know more about our activities, then please email us at: email@example.com
You can request to join our database using the above email address. By joining the database we will keep you up to date with our upcoming events and news. The choir will not pass your information onto any third parties.
We do have a very low turnover of members but we are always seeking good new members. We would still like to recruit more Tenors and Bases. Come along to our Open Rehearsals at the beginning of the season in September or contact us to come to a rehearsal anytime.
After a period of joining in and experiencing our rehearsals (Monday evenings from 7.30pm until 10pm in The Townhouse in Haddington) there will be a brief music assessment by the Musical Director. You will be given written information about this beforehand so that you know what to expect. The purpose of this assessment is mainly to check if you can hold a tune and that your voice fits in to the section of the choir that you have been rehearsing with.
After completing your assessment and on formally joining the choir, you will be given information regarding the choir uniform by one of the committee members. Music is issued each term by the choir librarian. Subscriptions are £135 per annum. The cost of this can be spread via a standing order if you would prefer – the choir’s treasurer can advise you on this.
You will be allocated a mentor during the first rehearsal that you attend. Your mentor will be an experienced member of the choir from the section of the choir that you sing with. Your mentor will be able to guide you through the above processes with regards joining the choir. They will also be on hand to support you throughout your first year of membership of the choir.
For further details please use the Contact details above. We look forward to hearing from you.
